We started the day with another sleep in before heading into town for breakfast at a local café, then out to Big Brook Dam for a walk around.

The highlight was crossing the bridge and spotting trout swimming upstream below us — decent sized ones too, including a rainbow trout. Not something you see every day.

After the walk we headed back to the chalet for lunch and a lazy afternoon before sitting down to the slow cook we’d had going since the night before. Another bath to end the day, with rain pouring down outside.
