We were up with the birds to pack and get ready to head off to Keswick. But not before Will jumped into the lake for a quick refreshing swim. Accompanying him were some lovely geese and ducklings.

After packing up at Oakland Hut, we hit the road. It was a smooth and wonderful drive into Keswick. Arriving just after 11, we strolled around town, got a coffee and dropped into some op-shops. Town was pretty packed with lots going on, but a different vibe to Windermere. We then strolled around the lake and stopped for our packed lunch, at a bench with a view.

With a quick turn around, after checking into our accommodation at ‘Twa Dogs Inn’ we headed out to walk the Latrigg circular trail which was next to Skiddaw. The loop gave us great views of town, hillsides, lake and people who were paragliding off Skiddaw.

We then returned to Twa Dogs Inn, freshened up then headed out for dinner. We walked along the road into town and stopped at The Bank Tavern for a proper Sunday roast. After a delicious and filling meal we went for a walk along the lake and through the woods, then back into town. We stopped by the original Keswick Convention Site, and they were currently having their convention this week! We then looped back through town for a stroll through the local park with some ice cream and to bed.
