“The early bird gets the worm”. This worm was the bus to Nordfjordeid. The trip was only 40 minutes but it had spectacular views along the way of lakes, mountains and small villages.
A short stop in Nordfjordeid before we caught the next bus to Sogndal where we had lunch at the local Subway and did a food shop.
Then onto another bus, taking us to the ferry, which took us to Flåm. We got to town at 2pm. We had a little stroll around town then off to Aurland where we stayed at a hostel.
We had a little rest (or 2 hour nap for some) to recharge the batteries. Before having dinner at the picnic table and then a little walk through the town. It had great views, being nestled in the fjords, and a goat or two.
We then got ourselves sorted for tomorrow as we were heading up and into the mountain.
