With sufficient bed hair from a good sleep, we managed to roll out of a comfy bed to start the day. We had a slow brekky and coffee then headed into town for our big day part 1. We took the bus to the Ulriken643 skylift and up to the top of Ulriksmasten, where we could see Bergen and the surrounds really well. The sun even came out to shine on town.

We did the loop walk at the top, with ponds and puddles to guide our way. It took about an hour and a half, and was well worth the views.

We then took the stairs down to the bottom. These were stairs, apparently 1333. Feeling very thankful that we had chosen to take the skylift up and walk down, rather than the other way around. We then took a track through the woods which was steep but lovely. Snaking our way down to a bus stop to head into town for lunch.

We found a place called Daily Pot which was meant to be a local favourite. It served delicious soups and salads, of which we shared, in a cute little setting. Sufficiently full, we made our way back to the loft for a shower and rest.

We then had dinner and started part 2 of the day, which included heading out to town again. We walked around, exploring the main part of the city, including the Bergen Domkirke (Cathedral) which had a cannon ball stuck in it from Battle of Vågen in 1665, we also the famous fish markets, Bryggen, the fort and more.

We then took the Fløibanen train up to the Fløyen mountain just in time for sunset but unfortunately the clouds were blocking it although the view from the top was amazing. We then did a short walk around the top which went through the forest and around a lake. Also, more goats!

When we got back all the city lights across the city were twinkling, we enjoyed the view one last time before taking the train down the hill and the bus back to our loft. We then packed our bags and got ready to head to Sweden tomorrow.
