August 19 – From Skinnskatteberg to the summer cabin

We had our last day in Skinnskatteberg today, beginning with breakfast and Sarah went for a big walk in the forest with Aunty Arja, practicing her Swedish along the way.

We then headed off to a nearby town called Färna, where there were some heritage buildings and an estate. We walked around the buildings, explored the grounds and checked out the shop.

After arriving back, we had lunch and went for a final walk around town and the lake, and enjoyed our last time with Helena before we were picked up in the afternoon to stay with cousin Joni and Ingrid.

We took the boats over to the summer cabin, with Arja and Yari joining us for dinner.

With a small fishing trip in the afternoon, though no bites, it was a great start to spending time outdoors and with more family. We said our final goodbye to Yari and Arja, as they and Ingrid took the boat back to the car.

As it got dark outside we set ourselves up in the cabin and enjoyed a late dinner and great chats with Joni before heading to bed.
