We woke up to our final day in Örebro and at the apartment. After having brunch with Mattias, we went back to pack our belongings and clean the place then headed back for a cuppa and TV introduction to Elementary, while we waited for Aunty Marjatta to come by. We then had another family reunion with one of Sarah’s other aunties.

The four of us then had a fika and went out of town to see some old mine sites that were turned into a natural hill. It was quite interesting, seeing the slag still smouldering away after so long. We got some good exercise with the 427 steps up and we had great views from the top. We walked around the top of the hill which is a ski slope in the winter and had a few art displays. After walking back down we then of course had to reward ourselves with some ice cream at the ‘Ice-cream Temple’.

It was then off to ‘Chop Chop’ for some great late-lunch then the drive to Fagersta. We arrived in about 1.5 hours, and the drive was filled with naps and views of the surrounding countryside. We then settled into Aunty’s apartment with Mattias.

We then were joined for a cheese & bickies dinner with Kim, Heidi and the kids. It was lovely for Sarah to see them all again, and 10 years flies by so quickly! We stayed up chatting late into the night (a big theme of this Sweden holiday).
